Position Summary
We are seeking a talented Sr. Manager, Health Care Provider (HCP) Engagements and Events to join our growing Marketing and Commercial Team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing objectives and strategies for specific marketing events, such as tradeshows and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) events.  The ideal candidate has a high level of expertise in managing a KOL program, including developing effective relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and Thought Leaders in the field.

Reports to: Director, Marketing 

Location: Redwood City, CA 

Primary Responsibilities
•  Work with commercial leadership to define, plan, and execute annual customer facing HCP, national, and regional events.
•  Manage an event sponsorship schedule and relationships with national and regional organizations.
•  Responsible for strategic and tactical management of consultant engagements with Key Opinion Leaders and Thought Leaders (i.e. speaker events, advisory board meetings).
•  Collaborate across functions (Medical, Commercial, Regulatory, Legal) to ensure compliance with regulations and engagement optimization with respect to business strategies.
•  Plan, execute, close, report consultant engagements in alignment with business and educational strategy.
•  Maintains an understanding of Key Opinion Leader / Thought Leader trends and business priorities to identify opportunities and drive business impact.
•  Leads all coordination (onsite/virtual) of consultant engagements and national and regional events.
•  Manages internal processes and workflows.
•  Responsible for annual budget management.

Travel:  >40% travel required, attendance to tradeshows and HCP events.

Physical Requirements
Subject to extended periods of sitting and/or standing, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is generally performed in an office environment. 

Position Requirements
•  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Sales or equivalent; MBA preferred.
•  A minimum of 7 years of relevant related experience with 4+ years of work experience required in Sales, Marketing, Marketing Communications, Event Planning, HCP Engagements.
•  Strong understanding of effective trade show management.
•  Creative approach to customer meetings, KOL events, Advisory Boards and other in person meetings and events.
•  Experience with planning and executing virtual meetings and events, such as webinars and meetings with external partners. 
•  Proven ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational level and raise findings to upper management in a clear and concise manner.
