Position Summary
We are seeking an eager and talented Human Resources Coordinator to join our growing team. This position is responsible for administration and operational duties within the human resources department. The incumbent will work collaboratively with employees, leaders and the Finance and HR teams. The incumbent will support a broad range of human resource activities, including, new hire orientation, and event planning. This position will require initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and adapt to frequently changing situations while maintaining confidentiality.

Reports to:    Sr. Manager, Human Resources

Location:  Redwood City, CA

Primary Responsibilities
•  Support onboarding orientation by ensuring that new hires are successfully onboarded by tracking completion of required tasks prior to and after their start date. Administer new hire orientation.
Partner with IT to provide the information needed to deliver laptops to new hires prior to their start date. Process various forms related to new hires, I-9’s, background checks, status changes, benefits and terminations.
•  Maintain confidentiality of employee files ensuring accuracy and compliance.
•  Facilitate the offboarding process by working with managers and exiting employees to ensure a smooth transition.
•  Maintain HR compliance of new hire paperwork and employment law posters.
Support the company’s culture by organizing employee events, including leading activities, maintaining activity budget and coordinating with event vendors.
•  Act as a backup to the Talent Acquisition Coordinator. Schedule meetings and interviews as requested.
•  Participates in special projects and performs additional duties, as needed.

Physical Requirements 
Subject to extended periods of sitting and/or standing, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is generally performed in an office environment. 

Position Requirements
•  BS/BA preferred
•  Minimum of 2 years human resources or administrative related experience, internships included.
•  Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle confidential information appropriately.
•  Knowledge of HR practices and basic application of employment laws.
•  Effective written and verbal communication skills.
•  Strong technology skills including Excel, Word, Google Business suite and ADP Workforce Now
