We are seeking a Human Resources Manager responsible for a wide range of functions to support the HR Department. The HR Manager will provide proactive HR support related to HR initiatives/programs of the complete employment life cycle including: on-boarding, off-boarding, employee benefits, HR compliance, performance management, career development, recognition, engagement as well as employment brand and culture. This highly visible role will promote Karius values and work as a trusted partner with employees and managers at all levels of the organization.

You Will:
•  Manages the hiring, enrollment and orientation process for newly hired employees; including applications and background checks, new hire set-up, on-boarding orientation and I-9 verification. Manage off-boarding processing logistics for terminations, including conducting exit interviews and administering COBRA.
•  Serve as the liaison with benefits providers, vendor partnerships, and broker to administer the benefits programs, including annual strategy and enrollment and invoice reconciliation. Partner with Finance to investigate and resolve discrepancies. Oversee on-going management of new hire benefits enrollments and life event changes.
•  Assist in recruiting coordinating activities such as interview scheduling and candidate travel and reimbursement. Develop and manage the employment brand and presence through social media and other avenues.
•  Partner closely with the Accounting/Payroll department to ensure accurate and timely transmission of data. Manage ADP Workforce Now System, including accurate data entry for new hires, employment changes and terminations.
•  Maintains HR compliance with regards to new hire notifications, labor law posters, policies & procedures, unemployment claims, leaves of absences and I-9 Administration.
•  Aids in developing and monitoring the performance review cycle and career development. Communicates and train manager and employees to ensure processes are done in a timely manner (i.e. objective setting, performance reviews, salary review, promotions, individual development plans and career-pathing).
•  In partnership with Head of HR, be responsible for culture sustenance and improvement; lead surveys to asses culture and create actionable plans that keep and improve cultural competitiveness and employee engagement as the organization evolves.
•  Develop and maintain nimble, durable, effective HR strategies, practices and systems. Continuously seek opportunities to optimize efficiency in HR processes and programs.

You Bring:
•  Bachelor’s Degree preferred, HR certifications (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) a plus.
•  At least 5 years of HR experience, preferably in a high-growth, fast-paced environment. Experience in the life sciences industry strongly preferred.
•  Emotional maturity and ability to effectively facilitate change in an environment where the structure may evolve rapidly.
•  Possesses a sense of urgency; identifies challenges and problems and takes the initiative to identify solutions. Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
•  Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills, written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated track record to reach effective outcomes.
•  Impeccable judgement and a high level of professionalism when dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
•  Strong attention to detail, follow-through, process orientation, resourcefulness and ability to prioritize.
