By introducing liquid biopsy into the diagnosis of infectious diseases, we're helping doctors quickly solve their most challenging cases, with a future vision of accelerating clinical trials, discovering new microbes, and reducing patient suffering worldwide.

The Head of BioPharma be responsible for the business development function within Karius’ commercial team, with a specific focus on identifying and establishing relationships with pharmaceutical companies.

You Will:
·      Be one of the key business builders, out meeting potential customers, sharing the platform and capabilities and building relationships for collaborations with Karius for drug development and commercialization 
·      Use your existing network to share the use and applications of cfDNA based sequencing
·      Make new connections through networking, introductions, conference attendance and other creative approaches

You Bring:
·      B.A. or B.S., and an advanced degree, MBA, MD or Ph.D.
·      5+ years track record of success in medical or pharma/diagnostic business development
·      A deep understanding of biopharma, infectious disease, diagnostics, genomics and clinical trials
·      You either have extensive business development experience, a strong science background, or both
·      For strong science backgrounds, you have a deep understanding of genomics, targeted therapies, an entrepreneurial track record, and you wish to deploy your expertise in industry
·      If your path to date has been in business development, you have deep experience in biopharma, sequencing or diagnostics, ideally a combination of all three
·      The ability and desire to pro-actively chase opportunities, but also work with the team to bring the best of the company to a customer
·      Excellent presentation skills
